Owens - 2011 BTCC winners

18 October 2011

newsOwen Developments, official supplier of the control specification motorsport turbochargers for the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, is delighted to congratulate Matt Neal on becoming 2011 BTCC Champion.

Neal was driving a 2.0-litre turbocharged Honda Civic, which, like all the other forced induction cars on this year's BTCC grid, used a turbocharger designed, specified and manufactured by Owen Developments.

Owen Developments is Europe's leading high performance forced induction specialist and was selected by BTCC organiser TOCA to act as sole supplier of the BTCC control specification turbochargers for the Next Generation Touring Car (NGTC) engined cars that dominated the 2011 grid.

Despite the large number of entrants using the Owen's BTCC specification turbocharger on a wide variety of production engine based powerplants, Owen Developments turbos enjoyed a 100% reliability record throughout the 2011 BTCC season.

"This has been an exceptional season for us," says Owen Developments Lee Owen. "The BTCC turbocharger program worked on quite a tight timescale at the start of the year, but Matt Neal's victory is the ultimate vindication of both Owen Development's staff's dedication and their abilities to produce race winning turbos of the highest quality and performance."
