A Final word from Darren:

The final round was held at Brandon Park, Thetford, Suffolk on the 20th November on a freezing Sunday morning! It consisted of 5 laps of 20 miles riding 2 special tests on the 1st & 2nd lap. The laps decreased in time from 70 mins to 42 mins on the last. Third lap was very tight and challenging to get to the check point on time. After a fairly good 1st special test, I got placed 5th overall and 2nd in the E1 Class. I had a steady 2nd test to hold my position in the championship. After riding the final lap, I managed to reach the check with 10 seconds to spare therefore I was clean on time for the whole day. My result was E1 Class 2nd & Expert overall 6th (on the day). So at the end of the 2005 series my position is as follows:

Expert - OVERALL 3RD

Next season I will be progressing up to Championship Class in British Enduro and continue to ride Pro Class in the Fast Eddy Series and I will hopefully continue to gain good results with the help and backing of Owen Developments.

Looking forward to 2006!

Darren Wheeler
