Volvo's turbocharged 850 T5 and T5R changed the perception of the Swedish brand in the 1990's and with their blend of reliability and big power, they still command a cult following today.

Which is why Owen Developments - Europe's leading high performance turbocharger specialist - has just launched an uprated MHI TD04 '19T' turbocharger for the Volvo 850 T5 / T5R.

Called the Owens MHI TD04 64HTA, the Volvo 850 T5 / T5R turbo is packed with state of the art technical features, including:-

  • 64mm HTA billet alloy compressor wheel
  • Uprated 360 degree thrust bearing
  • Optional uprated actuator and Forge dump valve available
  • Turbine blades cut back for enhanced performance

Owen's use of a 64mm HTA billet alloy compressor wheel produces the perfect blend of boost response and flow, allied to a superior reliability thanks to the uprated 360 degree thrust bearing.

As standard the Volvo 850 T5 produces 225bhp and the T5R model 250bhp, but the Owens MHI TD04 64HTA is the perfect 'bolt-on' unit that's capable of up to a sensational 375bhp in conjunction with other engine modifications.
