We are pleased to announce the launch of a bolt on, Garrett? GT35 external wastegate turbocharger, which combines an advanced compressor housing design with a start-of-art GT dual ball bearing core at an affordable cost.
Key technical features of the Owen Development's Garrett? GT35 include:
Garrett? GT dual ball bearing core for the ultimate in spool up and response
Cast ported compressor housing to reduce surge at high boost levels
T3 mounting flange which makes it ideal for many popular tuned engines
Turbine housing is cast from high-nickel "Ni-Resist" material for high performance applications
3 inch V band clamped outlet allowing easier installation and removal of unit
A/r ratio options on GT35 unit are 0.63 / 0.82 and 1.06
T4 flange variant of the GT35 with a 1.06 a/r ratio housing is also available for Mazda RX-7, Nissan Skyline and Toyota Supra fitmens
Careful design work by Garrett? technicians has resulted in a unit specified to run high levels of boost and which offers extremely rapid levels of spool up, compared with a plain bearing turbo.
In addition, the cast ported compressor housing is designed to reduce potentially damaging levels of surge for high power output engines, making it ideally suited to installations of between 2.0 and 4.5-litres producing between 400 and 650 bhp.
The GT35 is supplied with a choice of overall a/r ratios (0.63, 0.82 and 1.06) using a T3 mounting flange, making it suitable for many popular Japanese and European turbocharger applications. In addition, the use of a V-band clamped outlet allows the unit to be easily installed or removed, plus the design means the fabrication of a turbo downpipe is easier than with the traditional four bolt fixing.
A T4 mounting flange option, ideal for fitment to Mazda RX-7, Nissan Skyline and Toyota Supra applications is also available, exclusively with the 1.06 a/r ratio housings, making the new Garrett? GT35 unit and ideal upgrade for these cars
Garrett's ? innovative use of a cast ported shroud (compared to bespoke machined versions) has enabled significant cost savings to be passed onto its customers, hence why Owen Developments is able to offer the new GT35 turbochargers at the highly competitive price of £1055.15 including VAT @ 17.5%.
